At CentrePeace we believe everyone deserves a compassionate, supportive space to explore their thoughts and feelings. Life can be challenging, but you don’t have to face it alone. Our counsellors are here to guide you on your journey to improved well-being and personal growth.
Our Mission
We aim to provide accessible, confidential, and professional counselling to individuals seeking support with life’s challenges. Whether you’re navigating stress, improving relationships, or building resilience, we’re here to help you thrive.
What We Offer
Our counselling services are tailored to meet your unique needs. We provide:
- Free 12-Session Counselling Program: A structured opportunity to address personal concerns in a supportive environment.
- Empathy and Expertise: Our counsellors are dedicated to listening, understanding, and helping you work toward your goals.
- A Safe and Confidential Space: Share your story in a judgment-free setting.
At CentrePeace we offer 12-sessions of FREE counselling for issues such as anxiety and depression, bereavement, relationship and family issues, past trauma and other issues. The sessions will take place either face to face, in one of our designated counselling rooms, or online.
Our counsellors all volunteer their time. Some counsellors are fully qualified but most of them are in the final stages of their training. As a result, we have strict guidelines for who can access the service.
Unfortunately, CentrePeace counselling service is unable to provide a service to clients:
- With a complex diagnosed Mental Health condition
- At risk of self-harm or suicide
- Addictions to drugs or alcohol
If you are experiencing any of the above, we encourage you to seek specialised services tailored to these needs.
Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a professional about your issues and concerns. Your counsellor will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.
A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice. They will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems.
Your counsellor will be impartial but understanding. They will listen to you without judgment and help you explore your thoughts and emotions. They may offer information, but they won’t tell you what you should think or do. We ask that clients who self-refer are ready to make the commitment to engaging weekly with the counselling process.
